criptnightからcroptnightV7にアルゴリズムを変更したため、ASICでは掘れなくなってしまいました。

Monero announces they’re going to hard-fork on the 28th March to become ASIC resistant (because of rumours that Cryptonight ASICs are about to be released).

An “anonymous team of crypto enthusiasts” has announced that they plan to keep the original Monero chain going after the hard-fork on the 6th April. This means on the 6th April, you’ll get a new coin called ‘XMO’, and this new coin will retain Monero’s current proof-of-work algorithm (and so support Cryptonight ASIC miners). Anyone holding Monero in a supported wallet during the fork will receive both coins afterwards. We’ve also seen mention of Monero0 on Reddit – we’re unsure if this is the same group, but this Reddit thread has an interesting discussion on if this is a good or bad thing.
